Position of the Dean

The Dean is the executive head of the Faculty elected for a tenure of two years. The official responsibilities of the Dean include conducting teaching, holding examinations and other academic pursuits in the Faculty. The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences acts as the Co-ordinator of the First Year Bachelor of Social Sciences- BSS (Honours) Admission Test for the combined unit known as the 'Gha Unit'. He is also the convener of the Central Equivalence Committee.
